It’s re-invigorating to enter a new year and decade, and the NeoCon team is thrilled to be working on major partnerships and initiatives for 2020 that will inspire and engage the design community (commercial interiors and beyond) in exciting new ways!
The launch of Confluence Chicago, a multidisciplinary design ideas platform created in tandem with BIFMA and running concurrently with NeoCon, will elevate and amplify the conversation about design and design thinking in its many forms. Stay tuned for programming announcements in February; registration will open in March.
NeoCon will also celebrate and support Chicago’s vast design legacy, talent and resources through a new partnership with the City of Chicago and Design Museum of Chicago. Designing a Better Chicago in 2020 will include a large-scale design installation on the Chicago Riverwalk by local firms Kwong Von Glinow and UB Studios and a Design Impact Grant program recognizing individuals or organizations using design for civic good.
The NeoCon Plaza, the outdoor amenity space spanning theMART's South Drive will return (in an even larger way) in 2020 with Haworth back on board as the premier sponsor and Gensler as the design partner.
2020 will also debut a danishdesign MAKERS exhibition featuring the work of 20 designers with strong ties to Danish design culture.
And, of course, as the premier global platform for connecting and conducting business in commercial interiors, NeoCon is stronger than ever. A robust roster of showrooms and exhibitors throughout the floors of theMART is in place and gearing up to showcase a fresh, exciting and innovation-filled NeoCon 2020.
We look forward to welcoming you in June 2020 for the 52nd edition of NeoCon and an inspirational week of design in Chicago!
