NeoCon will have measures and protocols in place to address any city, state, or CDC requirements and guidelines in effect in June and also to provide attendees with a high level of comfort attending NeoCon 2023. You can review official information about COVID in Chicago here.

THE MART has received GBAC Star accreditation. GBAC STAR is the gold standard of prepared facilities and the cleaning industry’s only outbreak prevention, response, and recovery accreditation.

An extension of current building practices at THE MART and event measures include:

Optimized air filtration and circulation

  • THE MART has implemented the latest guidance from ASHRAE and has worked with Infectious Disease Specialists and Mechanical Engineers to execute recommendations for indoor air quality and air filtration.
  • There has been an increase in the amount of fresh air that is being circulated in the building. The entire building is also being flushed with 100% outside air two hours before and after business hours each day.
  • The building's air handlers have a MERV-15 filter rating that is hospital-grade and higher than the majority of commercial buildings.

Enhanced cleaning protocols

  • THE MART is employing aggressive cleaning protocols for all common areas of the building using approved products and protocol from public health agencies.
  • Cleaning staff has been trained on the safe and healthy use of cleaning chemicals used in accordance with OSHA's Hazard Communication standards.
  • There is frequent disinfection and cleaning of high touch surfaces, and electro-static spraying of elevators and other public spaces.
  • Hand sanitizer stations will be located throughout the lobby and showroom/exhibit floors.

In order for your company to register for exhibitor badges and manage its company profile on the online exhibitor directory for NeoCon 2023, we require an Registration Contact and a Marketing/Admin Contact from each company (showroom and booth) exhibiting at the show. Please also provide any additional marketing contacts that would like to receive all show communications regarding exhibitor marketing opportunities. Click the link below to manage your contacts.

NeoCon 2023 Exhibitor Registration opens February 6.

Each exhibiting company has been asked to designate an Exhibitor Registration Contact, who will be assigned a specific password that will be required in order for staff to register for the show (password will be provided via email).

The exhibitor registration system provides each company’s Exhibitor Registration Contact access to a dashboard that allows them the flexibility to register multiple staff, edit and delete staff at their convenience, and send staff their own confirmations.

Staff may also register themselves once their Exhibitor Registration Contact has provided them their company's password.

Required - Company Profiles (Showrooms/Booths)

The NeoCon 2023 Online Exhibitor Directory will be live on neocon.com on February 7.
The NeoCon online exhibitor directory provides both onsite and virtual NeoCon registrants access to company profiles and virtual floor plans, which are searchable by company name, product categories, vertical markets, location, and keywords. Company profiles can include product images, videos, PDF uploads, and URL links.

To access your company profile, click HERE and log in using your email address and password. If this is your first time logging in, your password will be "welcome". Upon logging in, you will be prompted to create your own password. To reset your password, enter your email address and click "Reset Password" and your password will automatically reset to, "welcome".

You can preview your profile on neocon.com starting on February 3rd. You may go back into your company profile at any time and make edits or additions up until the show.

NeoCon Showrooms - please note that your NeoCon company profile will be the same company profile that is currently featured on the year-round, THE MART online building directory. We highly recommend that you review your current profile and make any necessary changes.

In partnership with onPeak, we've secured discounted rates at a selection of Chicago hotels. Through onPeak we're able to offer you convenient and affordable options for your trip to NeoCon 2023. onPeak is the only hotel provider endorsed by NeoCon 2023, and we encourage you to book through them early for the best selection and price. Additionally, booking through onPeak allows you to make adjustments without penalty.

Construction/Deliveries/Move-In (Permanent Showrooms)

All deliveries arriving after May 15 in trucks larger than 12’ high and 30’ long, must be scheduled with our dock at docklabor@themart.com.

Dock Operations

  • All large truck deliveries after Monday, May 15 must be scheduled via email (docklabor@themart.com), with a minimum 36 hours’ notice. All scheduled trucks will be confirmed via email with a designated arrival time.
  • Any large trucks that arrive before their appointment will need to park offsite. Any large trucks that arrive without an appointment will also have to park offsite and return to be unloaded at the end of the day.
  • To insure we can accommodate as many deliveries as possible, we will strictly enforce a one-hour parking limit at the dock. We strongly encourage you to hire our labor for unloading and will have separate crews located at the dock / 3rd floor, 10th floor, and 11th floor to quickly move your products to your showrooms. The dock crews will unload and tag all your deliveries to insure they are delivered to your showroom.

THE MART Dock will operate during its regular business hours below until Sunday June 4th. Please schedule your dock time and labor by emailing docklabor@themart.com with a minimum of 36 hours’ notice.

  • Regular Dock Hours: M-F, 4:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m., Saturday, 4:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
  • Extended Dock Hours for NeoCon 2023: June 5 – June 11, 6:00 a.m. – 12:00 a.m.
  • Labor is available M-F, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. or as workload demands.


NeoCon Showroom Schedule

To provide the best experience possible for our attendees, the NeoCon team plans to be “show ready” by the end of the Friday June 9. While we discourage keeping anything in the corridor and prohibit this practice for more than a day, we understand that it’s unavoidable in special cases; therefore, we ask that you do not have anything in the corridor after Thursday June 8 at 3:00 p.m. Please also have all construction barricades removed at this time and make every effort to have your showroom completed, with all furniture moved in, by Friday June 9, at 3:00 p.m. This will allow us to place NeoCon specific signage in the corridors, clean the carpets, and touch up paint so that your NeoCon environment looks great for your early visitors and sales meeting on Saturday!

  • Thursday, June 8 | 3:00 p.m.: Corridors must be clear
  • Friday, June 9 | 3:00 p.m.: All furniture must be moved into showroom
  • Friday, June 9 | EOD: Show Ready

We will not be able to offer shared storage for NeoCon 2023. Please plan accordingly. If you must store product locally, please check with several nearby storage facilities, including:

Passive Badge Scanning: Showrooms Only

SmartZone RFID Trackers: Once again, we are offering NeoCon showrooms the opportunity to rent SmartZone RFID trackers. Each NeoCon 2023 badge will include a unique RFID code, which will allow for passive tracking of attendees in and out of the building.

As a showroom, you may utilize this technology by renting a SmartZone tower and placing it within your showroom to automatically capture contact details and demographics of attendees entering your showroom. This technology can be used in addition to Lead Retrieval scanning offered by Xpress Leads.

Guidelines for Events/Catering Held within Showrooms and Booths

Any exhibitor or showroom planning to host an event or large meeting in their booth or showroom must notify show management in advance using the online notification form by the deadline date, May 12, 2023.


Event Rules and Regulations

  • If you plan to host more than one event, a separate online form for each event should be completed.
  • All exhibitors and sales representatives must have a badge before being allowed on the show floors.

7th Floor Exhibitors

  • All events/meetings on the 7th floor must be held during move-in or show hours.
  • Events or meetings on the 7th floor on Sunday, June 11 must conclude no later than 4:00 p.m. All exhibitors must leave the 7th floor at this time.
  • Events or meetings on the 7th floor that occur on show days must end by: 5:00 p.m. on June 12-13 and 3:00 p.m. on June 14. Extensions will not be allowed.

Showrooms

  • Contact the Property Management Office at propertymanager@themart.com if you require the use of any common areas outside the threshold of your showroom, including, but not limited to, corridors, pass-throughs, service corridors, elevator lobbies, janitor closets. Use of common areas without authorization and the use stairways and landings is strictly prohibited. Proper licensing and applicable fees for common area use must be coordinated prior to your event.
  • Provide your Janitorial Contractor with the hours their services are required, with a special focus on the event area, as well as the catering staging area.

Beware of Companies that Solicit Exhibitors

There are many companies that lead you to believe that they are affiliated with NeoCon or a vendor for NeoCon. A few of the services they offer are databases, list rentals, and housing services.

We will never provide our attendee or exhibitor lists to outside parties. Any solicitations you receive claiming they can provide you with NeoCon affiliated lists or databases are UNAUTHORIZED.

NeoCon’s official housing partner is OnPeak. We are not affiliated with any other company who may offer you hotel services.

If you are contacted by any outside company you find suspicious or are unsure whether they are a legitimate authorized vendor for this event, please forward to us at neoconshows@themart.com. If they use the NeoCon name we will send a cease & desist letter.

What can you do to stop the E-mails from these companies?

Hit reply to the e-mail and type REMOVE FROM LIST in the subject line and hit send.

  • Block the sender’s e-mail and the domain in your junk e-mail settings.
  • Many junk e-mail settings will allow you to import a list of domains to block.

Held annually since 1990, Best of NeoCon is the official awards program for NeoCon, honoring outstanding new products from NeoCon exhibiting companies.

Best of NeoCon 2023 continues with a streamlined submission process, and a robust marketing campaign including enhanced branding, programming, events, and digital content. The awards program will feature entries in 54 product categories evaluated by a diverse jury of leading architects, designers, specifiers and facility managers with expertise spanning commercial, healthcare, institutional and hospitality sectors. This year’s awards program will also include enhanced marketing and promotional benefits for both entrants and winners, before, during and after the show.

IIDA Showroom & Booth Design Competition

The 19th Annual IIDA Showroom and Booth Design competition honors original interior design and the visual impact of permanent NeoCon showrooms, temporary booths, and pop-up exhibitors with an emphasis on the innovative use of product, materials, space, color, texture, and environmental graphics. Entries will be reviewed onsite by a jury of influential design leaders and specifiers from the commercial interior design industry on Sunday, June 11.

Winners will be notified on Sunday, June 11 with winners publicly honored on IIDA.org, social media platforms, and through the official press release sent to key industry publications the morning show opens. All winning spaces will be on exhibit throughout the show.

    These 30-90 second Reels are a unique opportunity to showcase your space at THE MART and highlight exciting new products and company new throughout the year. On-site production assistance and editing can be provided for an additional fee of $1,000.

    Our "Behind the Scenes with..." series features 15 to 90 second reels created by your team and are an effective and clever way to share your products, brand ethos, and design talent with the NeoCon Community. We will use Instagram Collab to post in conjunction with your company's Instagram handle to maximize reach and engagement.

  • NeoCon “From the Community” Sponsored Blog Post: NeoCon’s “From the Community” blog has become a popular, widely read series featuring engaging and informative content from industry thought leaders. Through sponsorship, 2023 exhibitors can have the opportunity to submit a piece for inclusion in the series. All blogs will be featured on the neocon.com home page, blog page and across our social media platforms.

    Content must be on a topic that appeals to the greater NeoCon audience. Materials must be pre-approved and must feel editorial in nature. NeoCon’s PR firm, Novità, can work with exhibitors to solidify topic/theme and advise on copy/tone. Examples of these blog posts can be found here (Blackout dates: June 5-16, 2023)

Press Inquiries, Press Releases and Virtual Press Kits

Effective media relations strengthen and complement the sales and marketing strategies you implement surrounding your presence at NeoCon®.

Our PR firm, Novità Communications, will be promoting the show and its exhibitors in the months leading up to the event through strategic outreach to print, digital, and broadcast outlets. They will also be hosting hundreds of media outlets onsite during NeoCon in the Press Office. Please be sure to alert Novità if you are launching a new product, celebrating a milestone, or have any additional company updates. In addition, please let them know if you are planning any media events in your showroom or booth during NeoCon. You can reach Novità by contacting Emma Reuland at emma@novitapr.com / (718) 510-2810. We will also be sending out regular exhibitor communication emails with links to submit your pre-show materials, which we can leverage in the months leading up to the show. If an outside PR firm is handling your media relations, kindly share this information with them. Below is a more detailed overview of their plan for collecting and sharing exhibitor assets and press materials.

Virtual Press Kit

Finalized press kits for NeoCon 2023 will be accepted in digital format ONLY through our virtual NeoCon 2023 Press Kit, in order to streamline the media’s access to exhibitor products and to make it more convenient for both attending editors and those who cannot attend. This will serve as our official online press room and is once again hosted through Box.com. We will be sharing this press kit wide so there is opportunity for exposure to a broader media audience. We realize these materials do not get completed until the weeks and sometimes days leading up to the show, but we can provide you with the unique link ahead of time so each exhibitor can have their own dedicated folder where they can upload their product images, press releases, and video assets as they finalize. Please email emma@novitapr.com to receive a unique link to your exhibitor folder and for directions to upload to Box.com. You may also keep some physical press kits on hand in your booth or showroom during the event. If your company would like to offer attending media a gift in the Press Office, please reach out to the Novità team to coordinate. For pointers on press kits, please see below.

What is a press kit?

A press kit is an information packet conveniently assembled for the media to review and potentially utilize in their digital and/or print coverage.

What goes into a press kit?

  • Labeled press release(s)*
  • Labeled, high-res images (at least 300 dpi)
  • Company fact sheet/brief company history (optional)
  • Designer bios (if applicable)

What is a press release?

A press release is a brief announcement, which contains newsworthy material. “News” is the operative word. The press release should outline the new collections/products/innovations that you are launching at NeoCon 2023. A release is written in the style of an article (in the third person).
