Book in the official NeoCon hotel block and choose from a variety of popular hotels with exclusive NeoCon amenities and a diverse set of room types for any type of traveler. In partnership with onPeak, we've secured discounted rates at a selection of Chicago hotels. Through onPeak we're able to offer you convenient and affordable options for your trip to NeoCon 2021. onPeak is the only hotel provider endorsed by NeoCon 2021, and we encourage you to book through them early for the best selection and price. Additionally, booking through onPeak allows you to make adjustments without penalty.

Registration and COVID Screening

In order to attend NeoCon 2021, all participants, including exhibitors and their staff, must register and also provide proof of COVID vaccination or negative COVID test within 72 hours of the show. NeoCon is partnering with Health Pass by CLEAR for easy, fast and secure COVID screening. Please visit the COVID Screening information page for details.

For the most efficient entry possible, every NeoCon participant should enroll with CLEAR before the event to complete their COVID-19 pre-screening. Registrants unable to complete COVID screening via Health Pass by CLEAR will be able to provide COVID screening credentials onsite at registration.

Exhibitor Registration

NeoCon 2021 Exhibitor Registration is now open.

New this year, each exhibiting company has designated an Exhibitor Registration Contact and has been assigned a specific password that will be required in order for staff to register for the show.

This new exhibitor registration system provides each company’s Exhibitor Registration Contact access to a dashboard that allows them the flexibility to register multiple staff, edit and delete staff at their convenience, and send staff their own confirmations.

Staff may also register themselves once their Exhibitor Registration Contact has provided them their company's password.

Permanent Showrooms - Construction/Deliveries/Move-In

To accommodate all deliveries, you are required to reserve dock time by emailing the dock at [email protected] at least 36 hours in advance. Deliveries will be received for NeoCon showrooms August 30-September 12 only. Your delivery will be given a designated time to arrive at the dock for unloading. If your truck arrives outside the designated time it will be sent away, regardless of the day. Dock hours are listed below.

  • Regular Dock Hours: M-F 4:00 AM – 8:00 PM, Saturday 6:00 AM-2:30 PM.
  • Labor is available: M-F 8:00 AM-4:00 PM. Please call ahead or email [email protected] to schedule if you need our assistance moving your product to your showroom.

Guidelines for Events/Catering Held within Showrooms and Booths

Any exhibitor or showroom planning to host an event or large meeting in their booth or showroom must notify show management in advance using the online notification form by the deadline date, September 1, 2021.


Event Rules and Regulations

  • If you plan to host more than one event, a separate online form for each event should be completed.
  • All exhibitors and sales representatives must have a badge before being allowed on the show floors.

7th Floor Exhibitors

  • All events/meetings on the 7th floor must be held during move-in or show hours.
  • Events or meetings on the 7th floor on Sunday, October 3, 2021 must conclude no later than 4:00 p.m.
  • All exhibitors must leave the 7th floor at this time.
  • Events or meetings on the 7th floor that occur on show days must end by: 5:00 PM on October 4-6. Extensions will not be allowed.

Showrooms

  • Contact the Property Management Office at [email protected] if you require the use of any common areas outside the threshold of your showroom, including, but not limited to, corridors, pass-throughs, service corridors, elevator lobbies, janitor closets. Use of common areas without authorization and the use stairways and landings is strictly prohibited. Proper licensing and applicable fees for common area use must be coordinated prior to your event.
  • Provide your Janitorial Contractor with the hours their services are required, with a special focus on the event area, as well as the catering staging area.

SMARTZONE RFID Trackers: Showrooms Only

New this year, we are offering NeoCon showrooms the opportunity to rent SmartZone RFID trackers. Each NeoCon 2021 badge will include a unique RFID code, which will allow for passive tracking of attendees in and out of the building.

As a showroom, you may utilize this technology by renting a SmartZone tower and placing it within your showroom to automatically capture details and demographics of attendees entering your showroom. This technology can be used in addition to Lead Retrieval scanning offered by Xpress Leads.

Beware of Companies that Solicit Exhibitors

There are many companies that lead you to believe that they are affiliated with NeoCon or a vendor for NeoCon. A few of the services they offer are databases, list rentals, and housing services.

We will never provide our attendee or exhibitor lists to outside parties. Any solicitations you receive claiming they can provide you with NeoCon affiliated lists or databases are UNAUTHORIZED.

NeoCon’s official housing partner is OnPeak. We are not affiliated with any other company who may offer you hotel services.

If you are contacted by any outside company you find suspicious or are unsure whether they are a legitimate authorized vendor for this event, please forward to us at [email protected]. If they use the NeoCon name we will send a cease & desist letter.

What can you do to stop the E-mails from these companies?

Hit reply to the e-mail and type REMOVE FROM LIST in the subject line and hit send.

  • Block the sender’s e-mail and the domain in your junk e-mail settings.
  • Many junk e-mail settings will allow you to import a list of domains to block.

Best of NeoCon Awards

Held annually since 1990, Best of NeoCon is the official awards program for NeoCon, honoring outstanding new products from NeoCon exhibiting companies.

Best of NeoCon enters 2021 with a fresh new approach, a streamlined submission process, and a robust marketing campaign including new branding, programming, events, and digital content. The awards program will feature entries in 58 product categories (17 new this year) evaluated by a diverse jury of leading architects, designers, specifiers and facility managers with expertise spanning commercial, healthcare, institutional and hospitality sectors. This year’s awards program will also include enhanced marketing and promotional benefits for both entrants and winners, before, during and after the show.

These 3-10 minute, professionally edited videos are a perfect opportunity for your design talent to speak about industry trends and dig in on the inspiration and process behind your latest products.   • NeoCon “From the Community” Sponsored Blog Post: NeoCon’s “From the Community” blog has become a popular, widely read series featuring engaging and informative content from industry thought leaders. Through sponsorship, 2021 exhibitors have the opportunity to submit a piece for inclusion in the series. Content must be on a topic that appeals to the greater NeoCon audience. Materials must be pre-approved and must not feel too self- promotional (e.g. not heavily brand or product-oriented). Novità can work with exhibitors to solidify topic/theme and advise on copy/tone. Virtual Press Room and Press Kits

This year, show press kits will be accepted in digital format ONLY. This is not only better for the environment, but it will be more convenient for editors. We are hosting an official NeoCon online press room through Box.com. Please note, this platform will host finalized press materials only (e.g. what you might have normally physically mailed to us or brought to the press room at the show). We know that in the months leading up to NeoCon you may have and will share images and information with the Novità team for use in their outreach, which has been most helpful. This will be the home for your more finalized, most up-to-date press materials highlighting your launches at the event. We realize these materials do not get completed until the weeks and sometimes days leading up to the show, but we can provide you with the unique link now. Each exhibitor will have their own dedicated folder where they can upload their product images, press releases, and video assets (if applicable). Please email [email protected] to receive a unique link to your exhibitor folder and for directions to upload to Box.com. You may also keep some physical press kits on hand in your booth or showroom during the event. For pointers on press kits, please see the end of this email.

What is a press kit?

A press kit is an information packet conveniently assembled for the media to review and potentially utilize in their digital and/or print coverage.

What goes into a press kit?

A press kit usually consists of the following:

  • Labeled press release(s)*
  • Labeled, high-res images (at least 300 dpi)
  • Company fact sheet/brief company history (optional)
  • Designer bios (if applicable)

*What is a press release?

A press release is a brief announcement, which contains newsworthy material. “News” is the operative word. The press release should outline the new collections/products/innovations that you are launching at NeoCon 2021. A release is written in the style of an article (in the third person). This means that parts of – or the whole – release could be used “as is” in a publication. It concludes with a “boilerplate,” which is a background paragraph on your company. Press releases are usually one to two pages in length. Be sure to include company name, media contact, and NeoCon showroom or booth #.

NeoCon will feature a new online platform, the "NeoCon Hub", which will provide an online connection to NeoCon 2021 with virtual access to exhibitors, floor plans, CEUs, keynote livestreams and in-platform networking with the NeoCon community (launching August 9)

A key feature of the NeoCon Hub will be enhanced, interactive exhibitor profile pages. Each exhibiting company will receive access to upload content onto a webpage that includes a branded company profile, an opportunity to display products, links to company content and collateral, and a chance to network and connect online with registrants.

Live Exhibitor Showcases

Live Showcases, a feature of the Premium Online Profile Package, provides exhibitors the ability to engage with the NeoCon community in a live virtual format before, during and after the show.

Similar to a Zoom or Microsoft Teams format, exhibitors may stream Live Showcases on the NeoCon Hub from August 9 to November 6.

Examples of Live Showcases are product demonstrations, showroom tours, conversations or discussions with key people at your company, etc.

Live Showcases must be pre-scheduled 10 business days in advance of your chosen dates with the following information: Showcase titles, descriptions, times, and presenter bio details (if any). Click HERE to schedule your Live Showcases. Live Showcases instructions to follow.

Highlights

  • Showcases allow up to 100 online attendees, on a first come first serve basis.
  • Exhibitor hosts can be on camera or share their screen.
  • The Showcase listings, promoted on the NeoCon Hub homepage and individual Exhibitor Profile Pages, allow online registrants to browse all upcoming Showcases or search by Exhibitor, Title or Host.

Health and Safety

NeoCon 2021 will take place onsite at theMART in Chicago, October 4-6. Measures are currently underway to ensure the well-being of all NeoCon participants.

Health and Safety Measures

All sectors of the economy in the City of Chicago and State of Illinois are fully open and there are no capacity restrictions of any kind. Both the city and the state recently issued mandates that everyone over the age of 2 wear face coverings in public indoor settings, regardless of vaccination status. Masking remains opitional in outdoor settings, where the risk of COVID-19 transmission is lower.

NeoCon will have measures and protocols in place to address any city, state, or CDC requirements and guidelines in effect in October and also to provide attendees with a high level of comfort attending NeoCon 2021.

theMART has received GBAC Star accreditation. GBAC STAR is the gold standard of prepared facilities and the cleaning industry’s only outbreak prevention, response, and recovery accreditation.

An extension of current building practices at theMART and event measures include:

Optimized air filtration and circulation

  • theMART has implemented the latest guidance from ASHRAE and has worked with Infectious Disease Specialists and Mechanical Engineers to execute recommendations for indoor air quality and air filtration.
  • There has been an increase in the amount of fresh air that is being circulated in the building. The entire building is also being flushed with 100% outside air two hours before and after business hours each day.
  • The building's air handlers have a MERV-15 filter rating that is hospital-grade and higher than the majority of commercial buildings.

Enhanced cleaning protocols

  • theMART is employing aggressive cleaning protocols for all common areas of the building using approved products and protocol from public health agencies.
  • Cleaning staff has been trained on the safe and healthy use of cleaning chemicals used in accordance with OSHA's Hazard Communication standards.
  • There is frequent disinfection and cleaning of high touch surfaces, and electro-static spraying of elevators and other public spaces.
  • Hand sanitizer stations will be located throughout the lobby and showroom/exhibit floors.

Event measures

  • COVID screening (proof of vaccination or negative COVID test within 72 hours of the show) is now required for all participants
  • Low contact registration
  • Masks or face coverings required for entry to building
  • Elevator monitors to manage comfortable capacity
  • A modified 7th floor Exhibit Hall Layout at 60% booth capacity to allow for social distancing comfort
  • Ample outdoor lounge space and low contact food service on the new River Park at theMART
  • Hybrid programming with virtual CEU sessions and live onsite keynotes also available via livestream
  • A new complementary online event platform offering virtual access to exhibitors, programming and networking

City and State Updates

Chicago and Illinois are in Phase 5, which includes all sectors of the economy reopened with businesses, schools, and recreation resuming normal operations with new safety guidance and procedures, as well as conventions, festivals, and large events being able to take place.
