ami is a pioneer in Augmented Interaction Technology, rooted in years of advanced magnetometry research developed at CEA LETI, one of the world’s most innovative research institutions. Founded in 2014 after a four-year incubation period, the company combines deep expertise in embedded systems, algorithms, and magnetic signal processing with a strong commitment to user-centered design.

As digital technologies become ubiquitous, creating intuitive and efficient ways to interact with them is a key challenge. By seamlessly connecting the physical and digital worlds, ami invents new interaction paradigms that are simpler, more accessible, and more responsible, enhancing everyday digital experiences and quality of life.

Since 2019, ami has brought two product lines to market. Under the iskn brand, Repaper, developed in partnership with Faber-Castell, delivers a unique pencil-and-paper digital experience for creatives, educators, and remote workers. The second product line, Tori, created with Bandai Namco Entertainment, is an innovative playful learning platform designed to foster 21st-century skills in children aged 5 to 8.

In September 2022, ami joined BIC Group, gaining strong industrial backing to accelerate its ambition of setting a new standard in Human–Machine Interaction and human expression.

At NeoCon, ami will unveil its breakthrough digital dry-erase marker board concept, which transforms any whiteboarding surface into a digital interface using its patented technology. By capturing handwriting written with BIC dry-erase markers, the solution enables real-time saving and sharing of content, allowing hybrid teams to collaborate as naturally as if they were in the same room.
